Hood Packaging is pleased to announce that the installation of a new Ro-An pouch machine at the plastic converting facility in Decatur, Georgia is complete.
The addition of this new two-lane pouch machine gives the Decatur plant the capability of running side-gusset and rolled-bottom pouches. The new machine has more than doubled the production capacity of the existing one-lane PDI pouch machine.
Both pouch machines are capable of running plain, printed, and laminated film to form stand up pouches, a popular packaging style for the pet food and snack food markets.
Running 24/7, and combined with the outstanding graphics and printing capabilities at the Decatur plant, the addition of this second pouch machine enables Hood Packaging to meet increased customer demands for high-quality, just-in-time packaging.
