Hood Packaging Hosts Annual Customer Service Excellence Conference

October 31, 2006

Hood Packaging recently hosted its annual Customer Service Excellence Conference in Madison, Mississippi. Customer service staff from all Hood USA manufacturing facilities and the Hood Global division attended the conference.

This year’s conference theme was the Hood Packaging computer order entry system. Conferees spent a full day with the Information Systems staff, covering computer-related topics. Other topics of the conference included discussions on raw materials and freight, company-wide capital improvements, and updates on quality, and current market status.

The highlight of the conference was the Customer Service Award Banquet where the following awards were presented: Customer Service Spirit Award to Denise Miller of the Monticello, Arkansas facility; Customer Service Plant Award to Arden Hills, Minnesota and Grand Forks, North Dakota; and Customer Service Person of the Year Award to Ann Robertson of the Anniston, Alabama facility.

While Hood Packaging customer service staff spent time learning and sharing ideas with one another, sales account managers manned the phones and handled the day-to-day functions on location at each manufacturing facility. At the end of the week, customer service and sales staff alike were happy to return to their respective duties.

The Hood Packaging Corporation Customer Service Excellence Conference is held annually in mid-October.
